Claims15
A masterbatch composition comprising a carrier material and biological entities having a polymer-degrading activity, wherein
- the carrier material comprises at least one polymer selected from cellulose, hemi-cellulose, starch, polyolefins, aliphatic or semi-aromatic polyesters, polyamides, derivatives thereof or combinations thereof and represents between 10% and 89% by weight of the composition, based on the total weight of the masterbatch composition;
- the biological entities are embedded in the carrier material, wherein the biological entities represent between 11% and 90% by weight of the composition, based on the total weight of the masterbatch composition and are selected from enzymes having a polymer-degrading activity and microorganisms expressing an enzyme having a polymer-degrading activity;
- and
- the masterbatch composition is in a solid form.
