Processing apparatus for processing subject

A processing apparatus for unfurling or folding a processing subject, comprising:

• a pair of retaining devices capable of retaining the processing subject;
• a carrying device capable of carrying the processing subject such that a part of the processing subject hangs down therefrom while the processing subject is retained by at least one of the pair of retaining devices, wherein the carrying device is tilted at a predetermined angle relative to a vertical direction during unfurling the processing subject;
• and
• a control device that controls movement of the retaining devices and the carrying device,
• wherein, in a condition where the processing subject retained by at least one of the retaining devices hangs down from the carrying device, the control device moves the retaining devices in a horizontal direction relative to the carrying device or moves the carrying device in the horizontal direction relative to the retaining devices such that a lowermost point of the processing subject is within a detection range of an end point detection unit that detects a predetermined end point of the processing subject when the lowermost point of the processing subject is not within the detection range.

A processing apparatus for unfurling or folding a processing subject, comprising:

• a pair of retaining devices capable of retaining the processing subject;
• a carrying device capable of carrying the processing subject such that the processing subject hangs down therefrom while the processing subject is retained by at least one of the pair of retaining devices;
• and
• a control device that controls movement of the retaining devices and the carrying device,
• wherein the carrying device includes a rotary axis in approximate horizontal direction,
• wherein the processing subject is hanged down from a first side to a second side such that the processing subject is crossed to the rotary axis,
• wherein the control device rotates the carrying device in a condition where the processing subject retained by at least one of the retaining devices hangs down from the carrying device such that a part of the processing subject remaining on the second side is hoisted up and moved so that the entire processing subject including the part is moved to the first side.
