Gearbox for a motor vehicle

A gearbox for a motor vehicle including a plurality of forward gear ratios and a reverse gear ratio, the gearbox further including:

• a control device configured for controlling the selection and the engagement of said forward gear ratios and of said reverse gear ratio;
• and
• a plurality of engagement devices that can be controlled by means of said control device for engaging the forward gear ratios or reverse gear ratio of the gearbox that are operatively associated to said devices,
• wherein the gearbox includes a locking device, which is electrically controlled and configured for preventing actuation of the engagement device associated to a predetermined forward gear ratio, said locking device being configured for being actuated above a threshold speed of a motor vehicle on which said gearbox is installed,
• wherein said predetermined forward gear ratio includes a first gear ratio,
• wherein said locking device includes at least one actuator configured for displacing a pin between an extracted position and a retracted position,
• wherein said control device includes a case fixed to a casing of said gearbox and a control shaft rotatably mounted and axially movable within said case,
• said control shaft comprising a first radial engagement finger and a second radial engagement finger for controlling corresponding devices for engagement of the forward gear ratios and of the reverse gear ratio, and
• said locking device comprising a bushing connected in rotation to said control shaft and axially movable with respect thereto, said bushing being countered in the axial movement of the control shaft by an elastic element, said at least one actuator of said locking device including at least one electromagnetic actuator fixed to said case.
