Wireless communication system, wireless base station, wireless terminal, and wireless communication method

A method for use in a wireless terminal, comprising:

• receiving a radio signal comprising a downlink frame,
• determining, from a location within the downlink frame received by the wireless terminal, downlink control information for the wireless terminal, the downlink control information comprising a first offset determined by a field in a received downlink control information and a second offset, the second offset configured by a higher layer parameter, for use in determining a location in an uplink frame where a response regarding data sent in the downlink frame should be placed, wherein where in the uplink frame the response should be placed by is specified by a single equation:
• nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0)=nCCE+NPUCCH(1)+nPUCCH_offset,
• where
• nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0) is a control channel element number of PUCCH and corresponds to the location in the uplink frame of the response;
• nCCE corresponds to the location of the downlink control information;
• nPUCCH_offset is the first offset in a control channel element (CCE) unit and is determined by the field in the received downlink control information;
• NPUCCH(1) is the second offset configured by the higher layer parameter;
• and
• P0 is an antenna port, wherein the downlink control information includes a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), resource block (RB) assignment related to downlink data, and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS).

A wireless terminal configured to engage in wireless communication with a wireless base station, comprising:

• a processor circuit;
• and
• a transceiver coupled to the processor circuit and configured to transmit an uplink radio signal to the wireless base station using an uplink resource;
• wherein a location of the uplink resource is determined based on a resource allocation control signal received from the wireless base station on a downlink radio signal and a first offset determined by a field in the resource allocation control signal and a second offset, the second offset configured by a higher layer parameter, the location of the uplink resource for the wireless terminal nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0) is given by a single formula:
• nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0)=nCCE+NPUCCH(1)+nPUCCH_offset,
• where
• nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0) is a control channel element number of PUCCH;
• nCCE is a minimum number of control channel elements (CCE) used for sending of corresponding resource allocation control signal;
• nPUCCH_offset is the first offset in a CCE unit and is determined by the field in downlink control information;
• P0 is an antenna port;
• and
• NPUCCH(1) is the second offset configured by the higher layer parameter, wherein the downlink control information includes a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), resource block (RB) assignment related to downlink data, and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS).

A wireless communication system comprising:

• a wireless base station;
• and
• a wireless terminal configured to engage in wireless communication with the wireless base station via radio signals;
• wherein the wireless base station includes a downlink transmitter configured to transmit a first radio signal to the wireless terminal which includes a downlink allocation information, and the wireless terminal includes an uplink transmitter configured to transmit an uplink control resource using a second radio signal, and
• wherein a location of the uplink control resource in the second radio signal is determined based on a location of the downlink allocation information in the first radio signal corresponding to a first offset indicated by a field in the downlink allocation information and a second offset, the second offset configured by a higher layer parameter, the location of uplink control resource for the wireless terminal nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0) is given by a single formula:
• nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0)=nCCE+NPUCCH(1)+nPUCCH_offset,
• where
• nPUCCH(1,{tilde over (p)}0) is a control channel element number of PUCCH;
