Event-triggered, graph-centric predictive cache priming

One or more non-transitory machine-readable storage media having program code for cache priming stored therein, the program code comprising instructions to:

• based on receipt of a notification corresponding to a performance degradation in a first network node in a network, retrieve a network graph that defines connectivity of at least a subset of network nodes in the network including the first network node;
• determine a set of impacted network nodes, wherein the set of impacted network nodes are network nodes of the subset of network nodes impacted by the performance degradation based on the connectivity defined by the network graph;
• reduce the set of impacted network nodes to a subset of the impacted network nodes;
• and
• prime cache of a device with data defining the subset of the impacted network nodes in in anticipation of a request corresponding to the performance degradation.

An apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• a first machine-readable medium;
• and
• a second machine-readable medium having program code executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• based on receipt of a notification corresponding to a performance degradation in a network node in a network, retrieve a network graph that defines connectivity of at least a subset of network nodes in the network including the first network node;
• determine a set of impacted network nodes, wherein the set of impacted network nodes are network nodes of the subset of network nodes impacted by the performance degradation based on the connectivity defined by the network graph;
• reduce the set of impacted network nodes to a subset of the impacted network nodes;
• and
• prime cache of the apparatus with data defining the subset of the impacted network nodes.
