Abstract
A connector assembly includes a female housing (11) having a lever lock (28) projecting therefrom, a male housing (12) having a tubular receptacle (36). The female housing (11) is configured to fit into the receptacle (36). The receptacle (36) has a recess (71) in the form of a cutout into which the lever lock (28) enters. A lever (16) is assembled with the male housing (12) and is configured to connect the housings (11, 12) by being rotated. The lever (16) includes a lever lock receiving portion (75) to be locked by the lever lock (28) that has entered the recess (71).
Claims17
A connector assembly, comprising:
- a first housing, a lever lock projecting from a first side surface of the first housing and a cam follower projecting from a second side surface of the first housing;
- a second housing including a receptacle, the first housing being configured to fit into the receptacle, the receptacle having a recess configured to receive the lever lock when the first housing has been fit into the receptacle;
- and
- a lever to be assembled with the second housing and having at least one cam groove configured to engage the cam follower of the first housing and to connect the housings by being displaced relative to the second housing, the lever including at least one lever lock receiving portion to be locked by the lever lock of the first housing that has entered the recess, wherein
- the first housing has a connection surface facing substantially forward along a fitting direction into the receptacle, a wire pull-out surface facing substantially rearward along the fitting direction toward a side substantially opposite to the connection surface, at least one wire being pulled out from the wire pull-out surface, and the first side surface substantially facing in a direction intersecting each of the wire pull-out surface and the connection surface, and the lever lock has no part projecting rearward along the fitting direction from the wire pull-out surface, wherein
- mutual locking structures of the lever lock on the first housing and the lever lock receiving portion on the lever are visually confirmable from the outside of the side surface of the first housing when the lever lock has entered the recess on the second housing.
A connector assembly, comprising:
- a first housing having at least one lever lock projecting therefrom;
- a second housing including a receptacle, the first housing being configured to fit into the receptacle, the receptacle having a recess configured to receive the lever lock when the first housing is fit into the receptacle of the second housing, a plurality of second terminal fittings mounted in the second housing, each of the second terminal fittings including a tab;
- a moving plate movably accommodated in the receptacle of the second housing, the moving plate including a plate body with positioning holes that receive the tabs, and a peripheral wall connected to the plate body and slidable on an inner surface of the receptacle, and an operating portion for removal exposed from the receptacle and provided on the peripheral wall, the operating portion at least partly entering the recess of the second housing;
- and
- a lever to be assembled with the second housing and configured to connect the housings by being displaced, the lever including at least one lever lock receiving portion to be locked by the lever lock that has entered the recess of the second housing, wherein
- an escaping portion is provided in a base end part of the lever lock and is configured to allow the operating portion to escape.
A connector assembly, comprising:
- a first housing having a forwardly facing connection surface, a rearwardly facing wire pull-out surface, first and second side surfaces intersecting one another and facing directions intersecting each of the wire pull-out surface and the connection surface, a lever lock extending out from the first side surface and a cam follower projecting from the second side surface of the first housing, the lever lock having a lock projection projecting rearward on the lever lock;
- a second housing including a receptacle, the first housing being configured to fit into the receptacle, the receptacle having a recess configured to receive the lever lock;
- and
- a lever assembled with the second housing and having at least one cam groove configured to engage the cam follower and to connect the housings by being displaced in a first direction relative to the second housing to a connection end position, the lever including at least one cantilevered lock arm with a lever lock receiving portion that is locked by the lock projection of the lever lock that has entered the recess when the lever has been displaced to the connection end position, the lever lock receiving portion being configured to disengage from the lock projection of lever lock in response to a force for urging the lever in a second direction opposite to the first direction and away from the connection end position.
