Abstract
A virtualized execution environment is generated for an analytic engine that includes executable code to implement an analytic model for processing an input data stream. At an interface a configuration for the analytic model is received. The virtualized execution environment is dynamically configured for the analytic engine at runtime based on the configuration for the analytic model.
Claims21
A system, comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- generate a virtualized execution environment for an analytic engine that includes executable code to implement an analytic model for processing an input data stream;
- receive at an interface a configuration for the analytic model;
- inspect the analytic model to identify a programming language associated with the analytic model, to identify an action, an input type, and an output type associated with the analytic model, and to verify conformity of the analytic model with a plurality of model abstraction design rules that include specifying a distinct schema for each input and each output to the analytic model, wherein the analytic model is bound to the input data stream and an output data stream, and wherein the analytic model consumes data received in the input data stream;
- dynamically configure the virtualized execution environment for the analytic engine at runtime based on the configuration for the analytic model, wherein the virtualized execution environment is implemented using a container, and the container is a portable and independently executable microservice;
- and
- dynamically add a sensor at runtime and/or debug-time to instrument the virtualized execution environment for the analytic engine for the microservice, wherein the sensor provides metrics for monitoring, testing, statistically analyzing, and/or debugging a performance of the analytic model, wherein the sensor is dynamically configurable at runtime and/or debug-time for changing a sensor parameter and/or changing a sensor threshold;
- and
- a memory coupled to the processor and configured to provide the processor with instructions.
A method, comprising:

- dynamically configuring the virtualized execution environment for the analytic engine at runtime based on the configuration for the analytic model, wherein the virtualized execution environment is implemented using a container, and the container is a portable and independently executable microservice;
- and
- dynamically add a sensor at runtime and/or debug-time to instrument the virtualized execution environment for the analytic engine for the microservice, wherein the sensor provides metrics for monitoring, testing, statistically analyzing, and/or debugging a performance of the analytic model, wherein the sensor is dynamically configurable at runtime and/or debug-time for changing a sensor parameter and/or changing a sensor threshold.
A computer program product, the computer program product being embodied in a non-transitory, tangible computer readable storage medium and comprising computer instructions for:
- generating a virtualized execution environment for an analytic engine that includes executable code to implement an analytic model for processing an input data stream;
- receiving at an interface a configuration for the analytic model;
- inspecting the analytic model to identify a programming language associated with the analytic model, to identify an action, an input type, and an output type associated with the analytic model, and to verify conformity of the analytic model with a plurality of model abstraction design rules that include specifying a distinct schema for each input and each output to the analytic model, wherein the analytic model is bound to the input data stream and an output data stream, and wherein the analytic model consumes data received in the input data stream;
- dynamically configuring the virtualized execution environment for the analytic engine at runtime based on the configuration for the analytic model, wherein the virtualized execution environment is implemented using a container, and the container is a portable and independently executable microservice;
- and
- dynamically add a sensor at runtime and/or debug-time to instrument the virtualized execution environment for the analytic engine for the microservice, wherein the sensor provides metrics for monitoring, testing, statistically analyzing, and/or debugging a performance of the analytic model, wherein the sensor is dynamically configurable at runtime and/or debug-time for changing a sensor parameter and/or changing a sensor threshold.
