Abstract
A preform for a container has a hollow cylindrical main body having a first thickness, a hollow cylindrical thick portion having a second thickness greater than the first thickness, and a curved end portion. Inner surfaces of the main body, the thick portion, and the end portion form a cavity.
Claims8
A preform for a container, comprising:
- a hollow cylindrical main body having a first thickness;
- a hollow cylindrical first thick portion having a second thickness greater than the first thickness;
- and
- a curved end portion,
- wherein inner surfaces of the main body, the first thick portion, and the end portion form a cavity, and
- wherein the preform further comprises:
- a tapered transition portion formed between the main body and the first thick portion, such that the thickness increases gradually from the main body to the first thick portion, and
- an integral handle directly attached to the main body at an upper attachment point, and directly attached to the first thick portion at a lower attachment point.

- a hollow cylindrical first thick portion having a second thickness greater than the first thickness;
- and
- a curved end portion,
- wherein inner surfaces of the main body, the first thick portion, and the end portion form a cavity, and
- wherein the preform further comprises an integral handle attached to the main body at both an upper attachment point and a lower attachment point, wherein the upper and lower attachment points comprise the same first thickness of the main body.
