A method of forming a solid fragrance carrier on a filter element in a vacuum cleaner comprising:
- mixing a liquid polymeric gel with a liquid fragrance to form a fragranced gel;
- applying the fragranced gel to a filter element for a vacuum cleaner;
- and
- curing the fragranced gel to solidify the fragranced gel on the filter element such that the fragranced gel adhesively bonds to the filter element.
A method of forming a filter for filtering an airstream in a vacuum cleaner, the method comprising:
- forming a frame with an edge defining an open area;
- mounting a filter media to the frame, the filter media covering the open area;
- applying a fragrance-containing polymeric matrix directly to at least a portion of the frame adjacent the edge of the frame;
- and
- adhesively bonding the filter media to the frame by the fragrance-containing polymeric matrix.
A method of forming a filter bag for use in collecting debris in a vacuum cleaner, the method comprising:
- forming a filter bag having at least one non-porous portion and porous walls made from a porous material that allows air to pass through, the at least one non-porous portion and the porous walls forming an interior storage space for collecting debris;
- and
- adhesively bonding a fragrance-containing polymeric matrix to the at least one non-porous portion of the filter bag.
