Fluorinated ether compound, coating liquid, article and novel compounds

A fluorinated ether compound represented by the following formula (1):

• [Rf-G-]aZ[—(O—R2)c—SiR3nL3−n]b (1)
• wherein Rf is a linear polyfluoroalkyl group having at least two carbon atoms, which has at least one etheric oxygen between carbon-carbon atoms and has at least one fluorine atoms on a carbon atom bonded to G or Z,
• G is —R1—O—, —R1—CONH—, —CONH— or a single bond,
• R1 is an alkylene group,
• Z is a hydrocarbon group having a valence of (a+b) or a hydrocarbon group having at least two carbon atoms, having at least one etheric oxygen atom between carbon-carbon atoms and having a valence of (a+b),
• R2 is an alkylene group,
• R3 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group,
• L is a hydrolyzable group,
• n is an integer of from 0 to 2,
• a is an integer of at least 1,
• b is an integer of at least 1,
• (a+b) is at least 3,
• when a is 1, b is at least 4, and when a is at least 2, b is at least 1,
• provided that when a is at least 2, each [Rf-G-] may be identical with or different from one another, and
• when b is at least 2, each [—(O—R2)—SiR3nL3−n] may be identical with or different from one another, and
• c is 0 or 1.
