Purification of cannabinoids from crude cannabis oil

A method of purifying a cannabinoid from a Cannabis plant material, wherein the cannabinoid is tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, the method comprising:

• providing the Cannabis plant material and one or more solvents selected from N,N-dimethylacetamide, N,N-dimethylformamide, tetrahydrofuran, and combination thereof to obtain a solution;
• maintaining the solution at a temperature between −40° C. to 25° C. for a time sufficient to obtain solid cannabinoid;
• and
• removing the one or more solvents to obtain pure cannabinoid.
