Abstract
Provided herein are processes for ethylene oligomerization in the presence of an ionic liquid catalyst and a co-catalyst to produce a hydrocarbon product comprising C10-C55 oligomers.
Claims6
A hydrocarbon product having less than 2 mole % olefinic hydrogens by 1H NMR, less than 0.1 mole % aromatic hydrogens by 1H NMR, an average carbon number from 15 to 40, a branching index from 45 to 70%, and wherein greater than 40 wt % of the hydrocarbon product has a boiling point distribution from 250° F. to 700° F.
