Abstract
Provided is a composition which can be used for formation of an optical film having high quality and a high dichroic ratio even after the composition is stored for a predetermined period of time. The composition includes a compound represented by the general formula (A) and a compound represented by the general formula (B), wherein R1a in the general formula (A) and R1b in the general formula (B) are mutually different groups. R1a—Ar1a—N═N—Ar2a—N═N—Ar3a—R10a (A) R1b—Ar1b—N═N—Ar2b—N═N—Ar3b—R10a (B)
Claims13
A composition comprising a compound represented by the general formula (A) and a compound represented by the general formula (B):
- R1a—Ar1a—N═N—Ar2a—N═N—Ar3a—R10a (A)
- R1b—Ar1b—N═N—Ar2b—N═N—Ar3b—R10a (B)
- wherein:
- R10a represents a group represented by any one of the general formulae (S-1) to (S-7):
- wherein R2a and R3a each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, where the alkyl groups represented by R2a and R3a may be bound to each other to form a ring;
- and m represents an integer of 0 to 10;
- and R10a in the compound (A) and R10a in the compound (B) are identical;
- Ar1a, Ar1b, Ar2a, Ar2b, Ar3a and Ar3b each independently represent a group represented by any one of the general formulae (Ar-1) to (Ar-3), and
- Ar1a and Ar1b are the same group represented by any one of the general formula (Ar-1) to (Ar-3), Ar2a and Ar2b are the same group represented by any one of the general formula (Ar-1) to (Ar-3), Ar3a and Ar3b are the same group represented by any one of the general formula (Ar-1) to (Ar-3):
- wherein P1 and P2 each independently represent —S—, —O— or —N(R12)—, R12 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 and Q5 each independently represent ═N— or ═CH—;
- R8 and R9 are substituents other than a hydrogen atom, and each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen atom or a cyano group, and one or more of hydrogen atoms in the alkyl group or the alkoxy group may be substituted with a halogen atom or a hydroxy group;
- and q and r each represent an integer of 0 to 2;
- R1a represents an alkyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, an acyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, an oxycarbonyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, a halogen atom or a cyano group, and one or more of hydrogen atoms in the alkyl group, alkoxy group, acyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group or oxycarbonyl group may be substituted by a halogen atom or a hydroxy group;
- and
- R1b represents an alkyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, an acyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, an oxycarbonyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, a halogen atom or a cyano group, and one or more of hydrogen atoms in the alkyl group, alkoxy group, acyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group or oxycarbonyl group may be substituted by a halogen atom or a hydroxy group,
- with the proviso that R1a and R1b are groups having different structures from each other.
