Abstract
A clip having superimposable parts for securing, between the parts, thin pliable materials, at any locations on the material, adjacent the material edges or at any position between opposing material edges.
Claims20
A clip comprising:
- first and second discrete clip parts respectively having a substantially planar body with a first major surface and an outwardly extending, integral connector portion which forms part of an engaging mechanism, said first and second discrete clip parts respectively having discrete proximal and distal edges, said engaging mechanism further including outwardly extending first and second components, said first component having at least one arcuate compressible element with an outwardly extending section and the second component defining one opening which receive said first component and additional openings configured to receive and retain said section.
A clip system comprising:
- discrete, first and second superimposable parts each of which includes a body with opposing major side surfaces and discrete proximal and distal ends, wherein each of said ends defines a peripheral edge, and proximal and distal edges of said first superimposable part are respectively superimposable over proximal and distal edges of said second superimposable part, said first and second superimposable parts respectively having complimentary integral connector elements extending outwardly away from said major side surfaces, one of said connector elements receivable in the other of said connector elements, and including arcuate tabs compressed upon insertion into the other of said connector elements, to connect the first and second superimposable parts.
A clip comprising:
- a top part and a bottom part, each of said top and bottom parts includes a discrete body, major surfaces, opposing side and end edges, and an opening that extends through the body, each top part and a bottom part includes a connector, integral with the body, and which extends away from the major surfaces and terminates at a peripheral edge, the connector of the top part is dimensionally configured to be received within the connector of the bottom part, the connector of the top part comprises a central wall section and integral resilient and movable side sections, each with a radially outward extending tab that cooperates with arcuate cut-outs of the bottom part, the connector of the bottom part includes thin slot/cut through an annular wall of the connector, coincident with a major axis of the part, wherein said opposing side and end edges of said top part are different from said opposing side and end edges of said bottom part.
