Abstract
Systems and methods are provided for a three-phase compensation system, whereby an electric circuit is configured to be connected with three input phases of a power source and to supply three respective output phases, said electric circuit further configured to compensate for one or two malfunctioning input phases of said three input phases by supplying current from a functioning input phase of said three input phases to replace a malfunctioning input phase.
Claims11
A multi-phase compensation system, comprising:
- an electric circuit configured to receive multiple input phases of a multi-phase power source from which to supply multiple respective output phases, said electric circuit further configured to compensate for one or more malfunctioning input phases of said multiple input phases by supplying current from at least one of functioning input phase of said multiple input phases to compensate for the one or more malfunctioning input phases, wherein said electric circuit comprises a plurality of control relays connected with each other, each comprising a plurality of normally open in-contacts, a plurality of normally open out-contacts, a plurality of normally closed in-contacts, a plurality of normally closed out-contacts, a control in-contact and a control out-contact;
- wherein at least one normally open in-contact of at least one control relay is connected with at least one normally closed in-contact of at least one other control relay;
- and
- wherein at least one normally closed in-contact of at least one control relay is connected with at least one normally closed out-contact of at least one other control relay.
A method of compensating for a lost phase of a multi-phase power source, comprising providing a multi-phase compensation system, comprising:
- an electric circuit comprising a plurality of control relays connected with each other, configured to receive multiple phases of the multi-phase power source, one to each of said plurality of control relays respectively, and to compensate for a malfunctioning of one of said multiple phases that does not supply current to its respective control relay, by supplying current to the respective control relay from another one of the plurality of control relays;
- each of the plurality of control relays comprising a plurality of normally open in-contacts, a plurality of normally open out-contacts, a plurality of normally closed in-contacts, a plurality of normally closed out-contacts, a control in-contact and a control out-contact;
- wherein at least one normally open in-contact of at least one control relay is connected with at least one normally closed in-contact of at least one other control relay;
- wherein at least one normally closed in-contact of at least one control relay is connected with at least one normally closed out-contact of at least one other control relay.
A method of compensating for a lost phase of a multi-phase power source, comprising:
- providing a multi-phase compensation system, comprising:
- an electric circuit comprising a plurality of control relays connected with each other;
- said electric circuit configured to receive multiple phases of the multi-phase power source, one to each of said plurality of control relays respectively, and to compensate for a malfunctioning of at least one of said multiple phases that does not supply current to its respective control relay, by supplying current to the at least one respective control relay from another control relay;
- each of the plurality of control relays comprising a plurality of normally open in-contacts, a plurality of normally open out-contacts, a plurality of normally closed in-contacts, a plurality of normally closed out-contacts, a control in-contact and a control out-contact;
- wherein at least one normally open in-contact of at least one control relay is connected with at least one normally closed in-contact of at least one other control relay;
- wherein at least one normally closed in-contact of at least one control relay is connected with at least one normally closed out-contact of at least one other control relay.
