Abstract
The invention relates to an engineered eukaryotic microorganism into which a gene encoding an acyl-CoA dehydrogenase is introduced and a method for producing methacrylic acid esters such as MMA and MMA-CoA and precursors thereof using the microorganism.
Claims9
A eukaryotic microorganism into which a gene encoding an acyl-CoA dehydrogenase is introduced, wherein the gene encoding the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase comprises a signal sequence that localizes the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase expressed by the gene to mitochondria, and wherein the signal sequence comprises the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1.
