MmWave for mobile data

A non-transitory computer program product encoded with instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations, comprising:

• receiving a download request from a mobile device;
• predicting a route for the mobile device based, at least in part, on a current location of the mobile device;
• forwarding one or more files for the mobile device to at least one wireless access point along the predicted route for the mobile device;
• receiving, by the at least one wireless access point, keying material associated with the mobile device prior to the mobile device being within wireless transmission range of the at least one wireless access point;
• authenticating, by the at least one wireless access point, the mobile device based on the keying material;
• and
• transmitting, by the at least one wireless access point, at least a portion of at least one file of the one or more files to the mobile device in a millimeter wave transmission when the mobile device is within the wireless transmission range of the at least one wireless access point, wherein the transmitting begins prior to completion of the authenticating.

A system comprising:

• at least one memory for storing instructions;
• and
• at least one processor for executing the instructions, wherein executing the instructions causes the system to perform operations, comprising:
• receiving a download request from a mobile device;
• predicting a route for the mobile device based, at least in part, on a current location of the mobile device;
• forwarding one or more files for the mobile device to at least one wireless access point along the predicted route for the mobile device;
• receiving, by the at least one wireless access point, keying material associated with the mobile device prior to the mobile device being within wireless transmission range of the at least one wireless access point;
• authenticating, by the at least one wireless access point, the mobile device based on the keying material;
• and
• transmitting, by the at least one wireless access point, at least a portion of at least one file of the one or more files to the mobile device in a millimeter wave transmission when the mobile device is within the wireless transmission range of the at least one wireless access point, wherein the transmitting begins prior to completion of the authenticating.
