Abstract
Example methods and apparatus to facilitate time synchronization of audio over Bluetooth Low Energy are disclosed herein. An apparatus includes a packet processor to process a data packet to identify a timestamp encoded in the data packet; a buffer to store the data packet with the timestamp; and a host to: when the data packet is removed from the buffer, initiate a timer; and when the timer reaches a time corresponding to a sum of the timestamp and a presentation delay time, out the data packet to render the data packet.
Claims20
An apparatus to facilitate time synchronization of audio, the apparatus comprising:
- a packet processor to process a data packet to identify a timestamp encoded in the data packet;
- a buffer to store the data packet and the timestamp;
- and
- a host to, when an amount of time after the data packet has been removed from the buffer reaches a time corresponding to a sum of the timestamp and a presentation delay time from a master device, output the data packet to render the data packet.
A method to facilitate time synchronization of audio, the method comprising:
- processing, by executing an instruction with one or more processors, a data packet to identify a timestamp encoded in the data packet;
- storing the data packet and the timestamp in a buffer;
- and
- when an amount of time after the data packed has been removed from the buffer reaches a time corresponding to a sum of the timestamp and a presentation delay time from a master device, rendering the data packet.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions which, when executed, cause one or more processors to at least:
- process a data packet to identify a timestamp encoded in the data packet;
- and
- store the data packet and the timestamp in a buffer;
- and
- when an amount of time since the data packet was removed from the buffer reaches a time corresponding to a sum of the timestamp and a presentation delay time from a master device, render the data packet.
