Abstract
In an example embodiment, a communication system provides a clock extension peripheral interface (CXPI) communication bus that is coupled to a master node and a plurality of slave nodes. The master node is configured to transmit a reference clock signal on the CXPI communication bus. Each slave node of the plurality of slave nodes is configured to receive the reference clock signal from the CXPI communication bus and to transmit and receive data to and from the CXPI communication bus based on the reference clock signal.
Claims20
A communication system comprising:
- a clock extension peripheral interface (CXPI) communication bus;
- a master node coupled to the CXPI communication bus and configured to transmit a reference clock signal thereon;
- and
- a plurality of slave nodes coupled to the CXPI communication bus and configured to receive the reference clock signal, wherein each slave node of the plurality of slave nodes comprises:
- a timing circuit configured to determine a first time based on a detected rise of the reference clock signal from low level to high level;
- a delay adjuster circuit configured to determine a second time based on the first time and a predetermined time difference value;
- and
- an encoder circuit configured to extend the low level of the reference clock signal by changing a data signal to be output to the CXPI communication bus from the high level to the low level.
