Systems and methods for incentivizing user feedback for translation processing

A system, comprising:

• one or more computer processors programmed to perform operations to:
• select a plurality of computing devices from which to solicit assistance in translating a word or phrase of a message that was incorrectly translated from a first language to a second language,
• wherein each computing device is selected based on a language setting associated with the computing device;
• send, to the plurality of computing devices, a request for the assistance in translating the word or phrase,
• receive, from one or more of the plurality of computing devices, a respective response to the request;
• determine that one or more of the responses are approved;
• credit a respective account associated with the computing devices from which the approved responses were received based on a complexity of the word or phrase or an importance of the word or phrase;
• and
• generate a machine translation of a second message comprising the word or phrase using the approved responses.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more computer processors, cause the one or more computer processors to:

• select a plurality of computing devices from which to solicit assistance in translating a word or phrase of a message that was incorrectly translated from a first language to a second language,
• wherein each computing device is selected based on a language setting associated with the computing device;
• send, to the plurality of computing devices, a request for the assistance in translating the word or phrase,
• receive, from one or more of the plurality of computing devices, a respective response to the request;
• determine that one or more of the responses are approved;
• credit a respective account associated with the computing devices from which the approved responses were received based on a complexity of the word or phrase or an importance of the word or phrase;
• and
• generate a machine translation of a second message comprising the word or phrase using the approved responses.
