Abstract
A method includes displaying information associated with a first application on a touch-sensitive display of an electronic device. A gesture is detected on the touch-sensitive display, which gesture indicates a request to display information associated with a second application. At least part of the information associated with the second application is displayed without opening the second application.

A method comprising:
- displaying information associated with a first application on a touch-sensitive display of an electronic device;
- detecting a gesture on the touch-sensitive display, wherein the gesture indicates a request to preview information associated with a second application;
- and
- without opening the second application, gradually displaying the information associated with the second application by gradually shifting the information associated with the second application onto or off the touch-sensitive display, wherein the gradual shifting occurs in accordance with movement of the gesture.
An electronic device comprising:
- a touch-sensitive display;
- and
- at least one processor configured to:
- display information associated with a first application on the touch-sensitive display of the electronic device;
- detect a gesture on the touch-sensitive display, wherein the gesture indicates a request to preview information associated with a second application;
- and
- without opening the second application, gradually display the information associated with the second application by gradually shifting the information associated with the second application onto or off the touch-sensitive display, wherein the gradual shifting occurs in accordance with movement of the gesture.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed, cause a user equipment (UE) to perform operations comprising:
- displaying information associated with a first application on a touch-sensitive display of the UE;
- detecting a gesture on the touch-sensitive display, wherein the gesture indicates a request to preview information associated with a second application;
- and
- without opening the second application, gradually displaying the information associated with the second application by gradually shifting the information associated with the second application onto or off the touch-sensitive display, wherein the gradual shifting occurs in accordance with movement of the gesture.
