The robots may perform tasks to provide selective services on-demand within medicine, agriculture, military, entertainment, manufacturing, personal, or public safety, among other things.
Claims20
A server comprising:
- a network interface;
- a processor;
- and
- a memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising executable instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:
- establishing communications with a plurality of robots;
- and
- receiving information from the plurality of robots, the information comprising at least one of a location, an availability status, and specifications for each robot of the plurality of robots;
- determining a destination location;
- based on the destination location, the location, and the availability status for each robot of the plurality of robots, generating or selecting a virtual machine for at least one robot of the plurality of robots;
- and
- instantiating the virtual machine on the at least one robot of the plurality of robots to perform one or more tasks.

A mobile device comprising:
- a display;
- a network interface;
- a processor;
- and
- a memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising executable instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:
- establishing communications with a server;
- receiving, from the server, information for a plurality of robots, the information comprising at least one of a location, an availability status, and specifications for each robot of the plurality of robots;
- transmitting to the server, information associated with a service to be performed by at least one robot of the plurality of robots;
- receiving a virtual machine associated with the service to be performed by the at least one robot of the plurality of robots, wherein the virtual machine comprises a set of virtual hardware resources within a software package;
- and
- transmitting the virtual machine to the at least one robot of the plurality of robots.
8 more elements
A system comprising:
- a plurality of robots;
- and
- a server communicatively connected with the plurality of robots and at least one mobile device, the server comprising:
- a server processor;
- and
- a server memory coupled with the server processor, the server memory comprising executable instructions that when executed by the server processor cause the server processor to effectuate server operations comprising:
- receiving information from the plurality of robots, the information comprising at least one of a location, an availability status, and specifications for each robot of the plurality of robots;
- and
- transmitting at least a portion of the information for the plurality of robots to the at least one mobile device, wherein the at least one mobile device comprises:
- a display;
- a mobile device processor;
- and
- a mobile device memory coupled with the mobile device processor, the mobile device memory comprising executable instructions that when executed by the mobile device processor cause the mobile device processor to effectuate mobile device operations comprising:
- receiving, from the server, the at least a portion of the information for the plurality of robots;
- superimposing, using augmented reality, the at least a portion of the information for the plurality of robots on the display;
- transmitting to the server, information associated with a service to be performed by at least one robot of the plurality of robots;
- receiving from the server a virtual machine associated with the service to be performed by the at least one robot of the plurality of robots, wherein the virtual machine comprises a set of virtual hardware resources within a software package;
- and
- transmitting the virtual machine to the at least one robot of the plurality of robots.
