Analog-digital conversion device, solid state image pickup element, and image pickup device

A solid state image pickup element comprising:

• a comparison unit configured to compare an input signal with a reference signal, wherein the input signal corresponds to emitted light;
• a holding unit configured to hold a digital signal corresponding to the reference signal, wherein the digital signal is held in timing in which a result of the comparison has changed;
• a bidirectional conveying unit configured to:
• input the digital signal into the holding unit to cause the holding unit to hold the digital signal;
• and
• read the held digital signal as a result of analog-digital conversion for the input signal, wherein
• the bidirectional conveying unit is configured by a switching element, and
• the switching element is configured to be brought into a conducting state based on input of an ON signal into a control terminal;
• and
• a control unit configured to:
• control an internal resistance of the bidirectional conveying unit, wherein a first value of the internal resistance when the holding unit is caused to hold the digital signal differs from a second value of the internal resistance when the held digital signal is read from the holding unit;
• generate the ON signal;
• and
• input the ON signal into the control terminal.

An image pickup device, comprising:

• a comparison unit configured to compare an input signal with a reference signal, wherein the input signal corresponds to emitted light;
• a holding unit configured to hold a digital signal corresponding to the reference signal, wherein the digital signal is held in timing in which a result of the comparison has changed;
• a bidirectional conveying unit configured to:
• input the digital signal into the holding unit to cause the holding unit to hold the digital signal;
• and
• read the held digital signal as a result of analog-digital conversion for the input signal, wherein
• the bidirectional conveying unit is configured by a switching element, and
• the switching element is configured to be brought into a conducting state based on input of an ON signal into a control terminal;
• a control unit configured to:
• control an internal resistance of the bidirectional conveying unit, wherein a first value of the internal resistance when the holding unit is caused to hold the digital signal differs from a second value of the internal resistance when the held digital signal is read from the holding unit;
• generate the ON signal;
• and
• input the ON signal into the control terminal;
• and
• a processing circuit configured to process the read digital signal.

An analog-digital conversion device, comprising:

• a comparison unit configured to compare an input signal with a reference signal;
• a holding unit configured to hold a digital signal corresponding to the reference signal, wherein the digital signal is held in timing in which a result of the comparison has changed;
• a bidirectional conveying unit configured to:
• input the digital signal into the holding unit to cause the holding unit to hold the digital signal;
• and
• read the held digital signal as a result of analog-digital conversion for the input signal, wherein
• the bidirectional conveying unit is configured by a switching element, and
• the switching element is configured to be brought into a conducting state based on input of an ON signal into a control terminal;
• and
• a control unit configured to:
• control an internal resistance of the bidirectional conveying unit, wherein a first value of the internal resistance when the holding unit is caused to hold the digital signal differs from a second value of the internal resistance when the held digital signal is read from the holding unit;
• generate the ON signal that differs when the holding unit is caused to hold the digital signal and when the held digital signal is read from the holding unit;
• and
• input the ON signal into the control terminal.
