Abstract
In various implementations, a raceway may be provided that is capable of providing power and/or data connectivity to items (e.g., devices, articles of furniture, etc.) coupled to the raceway. The raceway may be low profile. The raceway may be disposed on floor and/or under floor. The raceway may include an integrated power housing. The raceway may include segments that are selected, as desired for an application configuration, and that are coupleable to each other or other components of the raceway (e.g., nodes, joints, etc.). The housing of component(s) of the raceway may include a base and wall(s) with at least curved section and at least one straight section.

A raceway comprising:
- more than one segment, wherein each segment comprises a raceway housing, and wherein each raceway housing comprises:
- a first side disposable on a floor;
- and
- a second opposing side comprising:
- two side walls;
- and
- one or more cavities disposed between the side walls;
- wherein at least one of the segments comprises a power segment, and wherein the power segment comprises:
- a case disposed at least partially in one of the cavities of one of the raceway housings, wherein a lumen is formed between the case and the second opposing side of the one of the raceway housings;
- one or more power cables disposed in the lumen, wherein the one or more power cables capable of being directly or indirectly coupled to a power source;
- wherein at least one of the segments comprises a node segment, wherein a node segment is capable of coupling with one or more receptacles such that power is provided from the node segment to the coupled one or more receptacles, and wherein the node segment comprises:
- a node housing disposed at least partially in one of the cavities of one of the raceway housings, wherein the node segment is coupled to at least one of the power segments such that power is provided to the node;
- one or more node connectivity components, wherein the node segment is coupled to at least one of the power segments via the one or more node connectivity components such that power is provided to the node segment;
- and
- at least three access points, wherein each access point is disposed through a top surface of the node housing and is configured to allow at least three receptacle prongs of at least one of the coupled one or more receptacles to contact at least three of the node connectivity components to provide power to the at least one of the coupled one or more receptacles;
- and wherein at least two of the segments of the raceway comprise said node segments;
- and wherein the raceway is configured such that each of the node segments is capable of providing power to the coupled one or more receptacles when one or more other node segments are not coupled to at least one of the receptacles;
- and wherein the raceway is configured such that each of the node segments is capable of providing power to the coupled one or more receptacles when one or more other node segments are coupled to at least one of the receptacles.
A modular raceway kit comprising:
- one or more segments, wherein each segment comprises a raceway housing, and wherein the raceway housing comprises base and at least two side walls disposed proximate ends of the base;
- wherein one or more of the segments comprises one or more connectivity segments, wherein each of the connectivity segments comprises:
- a case disposed at least partially in one of the cavities of one of the raceway housings, wherein at least one lumen is formed between the case and the base of the one of the raceway housings;
- and
- one or more connectivity cables disposed in at least one of the lumens, wherein the one or more connectivity cables capable of being directly or indirectly coupled to a connectivity source;
- wherein two or more of the segments comprise node segments, wherein each of the node segments is capable of coupling with one or more receptacles such that connectivity is provided from the node segment to the coupled one or more receptacles, and wherein the node segment comprises:
- a node housing disposed at least partially in one of the cavities of one of the raceway housings;
- wherein the node segment is coupled to at least one of the connectivity segments such that connectivity is provided to the node segment;
- one or more node connectivity components, wherein the node segment is coupled to at least one of the connectivity segments via the one or more node connectivity components such that connectivity is provided to the node segment;
- and
- at least three access points, wherein each access point is disposed through a top surface of the node housing and is configured to allow at least three receptacle prongs of at least one of the coupled one or more receptacles to contact at least three of the node connectivity components to provide connectivity to the at least one of the coupled one or more receptacles;
- and
- wherein one or more of the segments comprise one or more extenders, wherein each extender is couplable at a first end to at least one of the connectivity segments and couplable at a second opposing end at least one of the node segments;
- and wherein at least two of the segments of the raceway comprise said node segments;
- and wherein the raceway is configured such that each of the node segments is capable of providing connectivity to the coupled one or more receptacles when one or more other node segments are not coupled to at least one of the receptacles;
- and wherein the raceway is configured such that each of the node segments is capable of providing connectivity to the coupled one or more receptacles when one or more other node segments are coupled to at least one of the receptacles.
