Information processing apparatus, storage medium, and image output system

A non-transitory storage medium storing one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to,

• receive image data of an image from a memory;
• determine, from among a plurality of types associated with different image output apparatuses, a type of a designated image output apparatus designated as an output destination to display an output image representing the image;
• acquire, from the memory, information of an image placement region of the designated image output apparatus based on the type of the designated image output apparatus determined by the one or more processors such that the image placement region is variable depending on the type of the designated image output apparatus designated as the output destination to display the output image;
• generate the output image by adjusting a size of the image within the image placement region based on the image data of the image to be output, and the information of the image placement region of the designated image output apparatus designated as the output destination to display the output image;
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to generate the output image by adjusting the size of the image based on the image data of the image to be output and the information of the image placement region of the designated image output apparatus such that the image fits within the image placement region without overlapping an operation region therein, and
• transmit the output image to the designated image output apparatus.

An image output system comprising:

• a designated image output apparatus, the designated image output apparatus having a type associated therewith from among a plurality of types associated with different image output apparatuses;
• and
• an information processing apparatus connectable with the designated image output apparatus, the information processing apparatus including circuitry configured to,
• receive image data of an image from a memory,
• determine, from among the plurality of types, the type of the designated image output apparatus designated as an output destination to display an output image representing the image,
• acquire, from the memory associated with the information processing apparatus, information of an image placement region of the designated image output apparatus based on the type of the designated image output apparatus determined by the information processing apparatus such that the image placement region is variable depending on the type of the designated image output apparatus designated as the output destination to display the output image,
• generate the output image by adjusting a size of the image within the image placement region based on the image data of the image to be output, and the information of the image placement region of the designated image output apparatus acquired based on the type of the designated image output apparatus designated as the output destination to display the output image,
• wherein the circuitry is configured to generate the output image by adjusting the size of the image based on the image data of the image to be output and the information of the image placement region of the designated image output apparatus such that the image fits within the image placement region without overlapping an operation region therein, and
• transmit the output image to the designated image output apparatus,
• wherein
• the designated image output apparatus includes circuitry configured to,
• transmit information indicating the type of the designated image output apparatus to the information processing apparatus in response to an acquisition request of apparatus type information from the information processing apparatus, and
• output the output image received from the information processing apparatus.
