Technologies for USB controller state integrity protection

A method for integrity protection of controller state, the method comprising:

• reserving, by a computing device, an isolated memory region in a memory of the computing device;
• programming, by the computing device, a base address register of an I/O controller of the computing device with an address of the isolated memory region;
• locking, by the computing device, the base address register in response to programming the base address register;
• storing, by the I/O controller, controller state data in a scratchpad buffer located in the isolated memory region in response to locking the base address register;
• loading, by the I/O controller, the controller state data from the scratchpad buffer;
• and
• allowing, by secure routing hardware of the computing device, read access to the isolated memory region by the I/O controller in response to loading the controller state data from the scratchpad buffer.

One or more non-transitory, computer-readable storage media comprising a plurality of instructions stored thereon that, in response to being executed, cause a computing device to:

• reserve an isolated memory region in a memory of the computing device;
• program a base address register of an I/O controller of the computing device with an address of the isolated memory region;
• lock the base address register in response to programming the base address register;
• store, by the I/O controller, controller state data in a scratchpad buffer located in the isolated memory region in response to locking the base address register;
• and
• load, by the I/O controller, the controller state data from the scratchpad buffer;
• and
• allow, by secure routing hardware of the computing device, read access to the isolated memory region by the I/O controller in response to loading the controller state data from the scratchpad buffer.
