Abstract
A polarization layer including a wire grid layer including a metal wire; and a polarization layer on the wire grid layer and a host and a dichroic dye, wherein the host is one of a reactive mesogen and a liquid crystal polymer, and a liquid crystal display device including the polarization layer are provided.

A polarization plate, comprising:
- a wire grid layer including a metal wire;
- and
- a polarization layer including a host and a dichroic dye disposed on the wire grid layer, wherein the dichroic dye is arranged along a direction of the metal wire,
- wherein the host includes a reactive mesogen or a liquid crystal polymer.

A liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- first and second substrates facing each other;
- a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates;
- and
- a first polarization plate between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate and including a wire grid layer and a polarization layer between the wire grid layer and the liquid crystal layer,
- wherein the polarization layer includes a host and a dichroic dye, and the host includes a reactive mesogen or a liquid crystal polymer.
