Abstract
A welding fixture for releasably engaging a weldable object includes a support body having a fluid passage, and a receiver coupled to the support body having an internal chamber that receives the object. At least one fluid delivery tube is disposed along the receiver and is in fluid communication with the fluid passage of the support body. The fixture allows the weldable object to be precisely positioned for welding, and supplies a fluid delivery system for delivering inert gas to the weld site.
Claims26
A welding fixture for releasably engaging a weldable object, the fixture comprising:
- a support body;
- a receiver coupled to the support body, the receiver comprising an open end and an internal chamber;
- a weldable object received through the open end and within the internal chamber, the weldable object comprising an outer surface;
- and
- a fluid delivery tube extending into the support body to couple to a fluid supply, the fluid delivery tube further extending from the support body toward the receiver open end and disposed along at least a portion of the receiver such that the fluid delivery tube extends adjacent and parallel to the outer surface of the weldable object whereby a fluid exit end of the fluid delivery tube is disposed opposite the support body and radially outside of the weldable object such that a fluid is deliverable to the outer surface of the weldable object.
An assembly for insertion in a meter body, comprising:
- a support body comprising a plurality of fluid chambers and a manifold in fluid communication with the fluid chambers;
- a cylindrical receiver coupled to the support body and having an open end and a cylindrical receiving chamber;
- a cylindrical transducer housing disposed through the open end and at least partially within the cylindrical receiving chamber;
- and
- a plurality of fluid delivery tubes disposed along the cylindrical receiver such that the fluid delivery tubes are adjacent and parallel to the cylindrical transducer housing disposed in the cylindrical receiving chamber, the fluid delivery tubes in fluid communication with the fluid chambers and the manifold of the support body at one end and including a fluid exit at an opposite end radially outside of the cylindrical transducer housing such that a fluid is deliverable to the cylindrical transducer housing.
