Abstract
A parking cooler which is capable of battery powered operation during engine off operation. The parking cooler or air conditioning system may vary in cooling capacities to maximize cooling or maximize battery life. The parking cooler includes one or more condensers and a housing to accommodate such variation of cooling capacity.
Claims14
A mobile air conditioning system, comprising:
- cooling mechanicals including at least a variable speed compressor having a DC brushless motor, an expansion valve, an evaporator, and at least one condenser;
- a housing having a base and a shroud which form an interior space for positioning of cooling mechanicals;
- said housing being configured to house a first one of said at least one condenser arranged at one side of the interior space of the housing, with additional space set aside within the interior space of the housing to house an additional one of said at least one condenser on a symmetrically opposite side of said interior space such that the additional one of said at least one condenser can be provided within the housing to increase cooling capacity of the mobile air conditioning system.
