Abstract
Systems and methods for providing customized camera views of virtualized environments are provided herein. In one embodiment a method includes detecting a gameplay event of interest within a virtual gaming environment and displaying a customized camera view of the gameplay event of interest based on user input receiving during traversal of a projectile from a weapon to a target. The customized camera view has a focal point of the projectile.
Claims23
A method, comprising:
- detecting discharging of a weapon within a virtual gaming environment during a gameplay event of interest that comprises the discharging of the weapon;
- providing an interactive graphical user interface displayed on a tilt sensitive display device that comprises the virtual gaming environment to control camera view, the interactive graphical user interface receiving from an accelerometer of the tilt sensitive display device user input comprising tilt of the tilt sensitive display device, the tilt being in a combination of a vertical axis and a horizontal axis to create a customized camera viewing experience of the gameplay event of interest involving a target, the customized camera viewing experience comprising traveling of a projectile from the weapon and hitting the target by the projectile, further wherein the gameplay event of interest comprises a trigger for explosive props upon impact of the projectile at the target;
- during the traveling of the projectile, receiving the user tilt input from the accelerometer of the tilt sensitive display device for the interactive graphical user interface, the tilt being in the combination of the vertical axis and the horizontal axis to place a camera view at any angle relative to the projectile and to select camera view position;
- providing a customized camera view of the gameplay event of interest based on the user tilt input;
- and
- capturing screenshots during the customized camera viewing experience.

A method, comprising:
- detecting discharging of a projectile from a weapon within a virtual gaming environment during a gameplay event of interest that comprises the discharging of the weapon;
- providing an interactive user interface displayed on a display device that receives user tilt input comprising tilt of the tilt sensitive display device from a position/orientation sensing device of the display device, which can be utilized by a user to alter a camera view of the gameplay event of interest to create a customized camera view during the gameplay event of interest, the tilt being in a combination of a vertical axis and a horizontal axis to place the customized camera view at any angle relative to the projectile and to select camera view position;
- providing the customized camera view of the gameplay event of interest based on the user tilt input, wherein the customized camera view has a focal point of the projectile;
- during traveling of the projectile, receiving the user tilt input from the position/orientation sensing device of the display device;
- capturing screenshots of the customized camera view during a customized camera viewing experience;
- and
- in response to the received user tilt input, selectively changing the customized camera view to any of a rear trailing view, a side tracking view, an above tracking view, a below tracking view, and an orbiting view, all of which have a focal point of the projectile.
4 more elements
A method, comprising:
- detecting a gameplay event of interest within a virtual gaming environment that comprises discharging a projectile from a weapon;
- displaying a customized camera view of the gameplay event of interest based on tilt-based user input received during traversal of the projectile discharged from the weapon to a target during the gameplay event of interest, the tilt-based user input comprising tilt of a display device and being received from an accelerometer of the display device on which an interactive graphical user interface is displayed to a user, the tilt being in a combination of a vertical axis and a horizontal axis to place the customized camera view at any angle relative to the projectile and to select camera view position, the customized camera view having a focal point of the projectile and comprising an entire event from the discharging of the weapon, traveling of the projectile, and hitting the target by the projectile;
- receiving a tilt action from the accelerometer of the display device during the traveling of the projectile;
- and
- shifting a camera angle of the customized camera view to a position left, right, above, or below the projectile based on the tilt action.
2 more elements
A method, comprising:
- detecting discharging of a weapon within a virtual gaming environment during a gameplay event of interest that comprises the discharging of the weapon;
- providing an interactive graphical user interface displayed on a tilt sensitive display device that comprises the virtual gaming environment, the interactive graphical user interface receiving from an accelerometer of the tilt sensitive display device user input comprising tilt of the tilt sensitive display device, the tilt being in a combination of a vertical axis and a horizontal axis to create a customized camera viewing experience of the gameplay event of interest involving a target, the customized camera viewing experience comprising traveling of a projectile from the discharging of the weapon to impact of the projectile at the target, and a trigger for explosive props upon impact of the projectile at the target, wherein the interactive graphical user interface is displayed on a touch screen of the tilt sensitive display device that receives touch-based user input comprising any combination of a swipe, tap or pinch on the touch screen of the tilt sensitive display device, and if the touch-based user input comprises a swipe action within the interactive graphical user interface, a rotation of camera angle of a customized camera view occurs;
- during the traveling of the projectile, receiving the user tilt input from the accelerometer of the tilt sensitive display device for the interactive graphical user interface;
- providing the customized camera view of the gameplay event of interest based on the user tilt input;
- and
- capturing screenshots during the customized camera viewing experience.
