Abstract
A central bed having a longitudinal bed frame and a bed section mounted to the frame for rotation about a substantially vertical axis between a home position aligned with the bed frame and an away position.
Claims14
A bed, comprising:
- a bed frame;
- at least one lower link arm pivotally mounted to said bed frame;
- at least one upper link arm pivotally mounted to the at least one lower link arm;
- an articulating bed surface including a seat section and a lower leg section, and wherein the seat section is pivotally mounted to said bed frame to rotate about a substantially vertical axis between a home position and an egress position away from the home position, and wherein the lower leg section is pivotally mounted about a first axis to said at least one upper link arm and is releasably pivotally connected with said seat section.

A bed, comprising:
- a bed frame with at least one lower link arm pivotally connected to said bed frame and at least one upper link arm pivotally connected to the at least one lower link arm;
- a seat section pivotally mounted to said bed frame to rotate about a substantially vertical axis between a home position and an egress position away from the home position;
- and
- a lower leg section pivotally mounted about a first axis to the at least one upper line arm and releasably pivotally connected with said seat section and about a second axis.
