A novel maize variety designated X13M684 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X13M684 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X13M684 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X13M684, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X13M684 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X13M684 and methods of using maize variety X13M684 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13M684, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2SYN with a second plant of variety PH41M2, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2SYN and PH41M2 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124791 and PTA-124813, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13M684 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2SYN with a second plant of variety PH41M2, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2SYN and PH41M2 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124791 and PTA-124813, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X13M684 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH2SYN with a second plant of variety PH41M2, representative seed of the varieties PH2SYN and PH41M2 having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124791 and PTA-124813, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH2SYN and PH41M2 further comprises the locus conversion.
