Methods for enabling user equipment to access radio network, network equipments and user equipments

A method by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

• receiving system information transmitted from a base station operating in an isolated network mode, the system information including a public land mobile network (PLMN) identity dedicated to the isolated network;
• identifying whether the UE is capable of accessing the isolated network;
• and
• transmitting, to the base station, a message for attaching to the isolated network using the system information, based on the identification.

A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to control to:
• detect a loss of a backhaul between the base station and a macro core network,
• determine to activate an operation of a mode for an isolated network based on the detection,
• transmit system information including a public land mobile network (PLMN) identity dedicated to the isolated network in case that the mode for the isolated network is in operation based on the determination, and
• receive, from a user equipment (UE), a message for attaching to the isolated network.

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to control to:
• receive system information transmitted from a base station operating in an isolated network mode, the system information including a public land mobile network (PLMN) identity dedicated to the isolated network,
• identify whether the UE is capable of accessing the isolated network, and
• transmit, to the base station, a message for attaching to the isolated network using the system information, based on the identification.
