Processing performance data of a content delivery network

An apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• a display device;
• and
• a memory accessible to the processor, the memory comprising instructions executable by the processor to perform operations comprising:
• accessing a database to retrieve performance data associated with a content delivery network, wherein accessing the database comprises:
• identifying a first component of the content delivery network based on a first criterion;
• and
• identifying a second component of the content delivery network based on the first component, wherein the second component and the first component are coupled to a content server via a common component of the content delivery network;
• determining, based on the performance data, performance metrics for components of the content delivery network that are within a particular geographic region, the components of the content delivery network including the first component and the second component;
• and
• generating, at the display device, a display that visually represents:
• an image representing the particular geographic region;
• the first component;
• the second component;
• the common component;
• and
• the performance metrics, wherein the performance metrics comprise a numeric value that is displayed on the image near at a location that corresponds to a corresponding component, and wherein an icon is placed at each location associated with a component having a performance metric that fails to satisfy a threshold.

A computer-readable storage device storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

• accessing a database to retrieve performance data associated with a content delivery network, wherein accessing the database comprises:
• identifying a first component of the content delivery network based on a first criterion;
• and
• identifying a second component of the content delivery network based on the first component, wherein the second component and the first component are coupled to a content server via a common component of the content delivery network;
• determining, based on the performance data, performance metrics for components of the content delivery network that are within a particular geographic region, the components of the content delivery network including the first component and the second component;
• and
• generating a display that visually represents:
• an image representing the particular geographic region;
• the first component;
• the second component;
• the common component;
• and
• the performance metrics, wherein the performance metrics comprise a numeric value that is displayed on the image near at a location that corresponds to a corresponding component, and wherein an icon is placed at each location associated with a component having a performance metric that fails to satisfy a threshold.
