Abstract
The present invention relates to: a method by which a small cell having a relatively narrow cell range changes to an active state in an environment in which the small cell is arranged; and a method and a device by which a terminal detects a small cell base station in an inactive state. According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided are a method and a device by which a terminal measures a discovery signal, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a discovery signal from a small cell base station in an inactive state; and measuring the discovery signal on the basis of a reference signal of the discovery signal comprising a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) and a cell-specific reference signal (CRS).
Claims8
A method by which a terminal measures a discovery signal, the method comprising:
- receiving the discovery signal including a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS), a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS), and a Cell Specific Reference Signal (CRS) from a small cell base station in a deactivated state;
- measuring the discovery signal from the small cell base station in the deactivated state based on a reference discovery signal;
- receiving a measurement configuration information associated with the discovery signal from a base station that has formed a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection;
- and
- receiving downlink control information that includes information on a duration of the deactivated state of the small cell base station,
- wherein the measurement configuration information is received before receiving the discovery signal,
- wherein the measurement configuration information includes information as to whether a CSI-RS is present,
- wherein the CRS is received only in a predetermined number of continuous subframes including a subframe in which the PSS and SSS are transmitted,
- wherein predetermined number of continuous subframes is configured to be equal to or smaller than five, but more than one, and
- wherein the information on the duration of the deactivated state includes a number of subframes during which the small cell base station has been deactivated.
A terminal for measuring a discovery signal, comprising:
- a receiver that receives the discovery signal including a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS), a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS), and a Cell specific Reference Signal (CRS) from a small cell base station in a deactivated state, receives a measurement configuration information associated with the discovery signal from a base station that has formed a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection, and receives downlink control information that includes information on a duration of the deactivated state of the small cell base station;
- and
- a control unit circuitry that measures the discovery signal from the small cell base station in the deactivated state,
- wherein the measurement configuration information is received before the discovery signal is received,
- wherein the CRS is received only in a predetermined number of continuous subframes including a subframe in which the PSS and SSS are transmitted,
- wherein the predetermined number of continuous subframes is configured to be equal to or smaller than five, but more than one, and
- wherein the information on the duration of the deactivated state includes a number of subframes during which the small cell base station has been deactivated.
