Method and apparatus for communication using a plurality of cells in a wireless communication system

A base station for cell configuration in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation (CA), the base station comprising:

• a transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals;
• and
• at least one processor configured to:
• control transmitting configuration information for configuring a first cell allocated with a first component carrier (CC) to a terminal,
• transmit configuration information for adding a second cell allocated with a second CC to the terminal, and
• communicate with the terminal via the first CC of the first cell and the second CC of the second cell,
• wherein sectors of the first cell, each allocated with the same first CC, are set to a same physical cell identifier (PCID) and sectors of the second cell, each allocated with the same second CC, are set to PCIDs that are different from the same PCID set for the sectors of the first cell, and
• wherein the PCIDs set for the sectors of the second cell are different from each other.
