Abstract
An image reading device includes a turning unit and a reading unit having a reader and a reading glass. The reader reads, through the reading glass, an image on a sheet placed on the reading glass. The turning unit can turn with respect to the reading unit. The turning unit includes a pressing plate, a communication unit, and an attachment part. The pressing plate presses a sheet on the reading glass against the reading glass when the turning unit is at a position closing the reading glass. The communication unit receives data from outside the image reading device by wireless communication. The communication unit is detachably mounted within the turning unit. The attachment part attaches the communication unit and has a weight mounting portion capable of mounting a weight.
Claims22
An image reading device comprising:
- a reading unit including a reading glass, and a reader configured to read, through the reading glass, an image on a document placed on the reading glass;
- and
- a document feeding unit configured to turn with respect to the reading unit,
- wherein the document feeding unit includes:
- a conveyance unit configured to convey a document,
- a discharging unit configured to discharge the document conveyed by the conveyance unit,
- a discharge tray on which the document discharged by the discharging unit is to be stacked,
- an attachment part to which a communication unit configured to acquire information about a user using the image reading device is to be detachably attached,
- a weight mounting portion, and
- a weight object detachably attached to the weight mounting portion, wherein the weight object is a weight for being attached to the weight mounting portion in a state in which the communication unit is not attached to the attachment part,
- wherein, in a first direction in which the document is discharged by the discharging unit, the attachment part and the weight mounting portion are disposed downstream of a discharge opening through which the document is to be discharged.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- an image reading unit including a reading glass, and a reader configured to read, through the reading glass, an image on a document placed on the reading glass;
- and
- an image forming unit configured to form images based on a reading result of the image reading unit, and
- a document feeding unit configured to turn with respect to the image reading unit,
- wherein the document feeding unit includes:
- a conveyance unit configured to convey a document,
- a discharging unit configured to discharge the document conveyed by the conveyance unit,
- a discharge tray on which the document discharged by the discharging unit is to be stacked,
- an attachment part to which a communication unit configured to acquire information about a user using the image forming apparatus is to be detachably attached,
- a weight mounting portion, and
- a weight object detachably attached to the weight mounting portion, wherein the weight object is a weight for being attached to the weight mounting portion in a state in which the communication unit is not attached to the attachment part,
- wherein, in a first direction in which the document is discharged by the discharging unit, the attachment part and the weight mounting portion are disposed downstream of a discharge opening through which the document is to be discharged.
A document feeder device configured to turn with respect to a reading unit which includes a reading glass, and a reader configured to read an image on a document placed on the reading glass, the document feeder device comprising:
- a conveyance unit configured to convey a document;
- a discharging unit configured to discharge the document conveyed by the conveyance unit;
- a discharge tray on which the document discharged by the discharging unit is to be stacked;
- an attachment part to which a communication unit configured to acquire information about a user using the document feeder device is to be detachably attached;
- a weight mounting portion;
- and
- a weight object detachably attached to the weight mounting portion, wherein the weight object is a weight for being attached to the weight mounting portion in a state in which the communication unit is not attached to the attachment part,
- wherein, in a first direction in which the document is discharged by the discharging unit, the attachment part and the weight mounting portion are disposed downstream of a discharge opening through which the document is to be discharged.
