Abstract
A battery pack and charger system includes a first battery pack having a first set of battery cells and configured to provide only a first operating voltage and a second battery pack having a second set of battery cells and configured to provide the first operating voltage and a second operating voltage that is different from the first operating voltage and a battery pack charger configured to be able to charge the first battery pack and the second battery pack.
Claims6
A battery pack and charger system, comprising:
- a first battery pack comprising a first plurality of battery cells, a first set of power terminals, and configured to provide only a first operating voltage and be charged at a first charging voltage through the first set of power terminals;
- a second battery pack comprising a second plurality of battery cells, a second set of power terminals, and configured to (A) provide the first operating voltage and a second operating voltage that is different from the first operating voltage and (B) be charged at the first charging voltage through the second set of power terminals;
- and
- a battery pack charger comprising a third set of power terminals consisting of two terminals and configured to charge (A) the first battery pack by connecting the third set of power terminals to the first set of power terminals and (B) the second battery pack by connecting the third set of power terminals to the second set of power terminals.
