Property editor component in a web application builder framework

A method comprising:

• providing for interaction with a database identifying a plurality of web application builder components configured to be used to construct a plurality of components of a web application and further configured to be reusable within a server-hosted web application builder framework, each of the web application components comprising a respective one or more attributes;
• processing a first user request to generate a property editor component within the web application builder framework, the first user request identifying one or more user-defined property fields, each of the property fields associated with a respective text label;
• generating the property editor component based on the first user request;
• causing, for display on one or more client devices, a graphical presentation of the web application builder framework implementing at least the property editor component, the implemented property editor component presenting the one or more property fields, the presented one or more property fields configured to accept first user input;
• identifying a first one of the web application components having a first one or more attributes as being associated with the presented one or more property fields;
• and
• configuring, responsive to receiving the first user input, the first one or more attributes of the first web application component according to the first user input.

A computer program product comprising computer-readable program code capable of being executed by one or more processors when retrieved from a non-transitory computer-readable medium, the program code comprising instructions configurable to cause:

• providing for interaction with a database identifying a plurality of web application builder components configured to be used to construct a plurality of components of a web application and further configured to be reusable within a server-hosted web application builder framework, each of the web application components comprising a respective one or more attributes;
• processing a first user request to generate a property editor component within the web application builder framework, the first user request identifying one or more user-defined property fields, each of the property fields associated with a respective text label;
• generating the property editor component based on the first user request;
• displaying, on one or more client devices, a graphical presentation of the web application builder framework implementing at least the property editor component, the implemented property editor component presenting the one or more property fields, the presented one or more property fields configured to accept first user input;
• identifying a first one of the web application components having a first one or more attributes as being associated with the presented one or more property fields;
• and
• configuring, responsive to receiving the first user input, the first one or more attributes of the first web application component according to the first user input.
