A fluorinated ether compound represented by the following formula (1):

• A1-O-Q1-(Rf11O)m1—Rf12—R11—N[—R12—SiR13n1X13-n1]2 (1)
• wherein
• A1 is a C1-20 perfluoroalkyl group,
• Q1 is a single bond, a fluoroalkylene group containing at least one hydrogen atom, a fluoroalkylene group containing at least one hydrogen atom and having an etheric oxygen atom at its terminal other than the terminal on the side bonded to A1-O, a fluoroalkylene group with at least two carbon atoms containing at least one hydrogen atom and having an etheric oxygen atom between its carbon-carbon atoms, or a fluoroalkylene group with at least two carbon atoms containing at least one hydrogen atom and having an etheric oxygen atom between its carbon-carbon atoms and at its terminal other than the terminal on the side bonded to A1-O,
• Rf11 and Rf12 are each independently a perfluoroalkylene group,
• m1 is an integer of from 2 to 200,
• (Rf11O)m1 is composed of one type of Rf11O or at least two types of Rf11O,
• R11 is a single bond, an alkylene group, an alkylene group having an etheric oxygen atom or —NH— at its terminal other than the terminal on the side bonded to N, an alkylene group with at least two carbon atoms having an etheric oxygen atom or —NH— between its carbon-carbon atoms, or an alkylene group with at least two carbon atoms having an etheric oxygen atom or —NH— between its carbon-carbon atoms and at its terminal other than the terminal on the side bonded to N,
• R12 is an alkylene group, or an alkylene group with at least two carbon atoms having an etheric oxygen atom or —NH— between its carbon-carbon atoms,
• R13 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group,
• X1 is a hydrolyzable group,
• n1 is an integer of from 0 to 2, and
• two [—R12—SiR13n1X13-n1] groups are the same or different from each other.
