A device for electronically controlling deceleration in a vehicle comprising an anti-lock braking system (“ABS”), a first axle, and a second axle, the device being configured to:
- detect at least one of a target vehicle deceleration specified by the driver and an actual vehicle deceleration, and
- actuate the ABS such that a detected actual differential slip corresponds to a target differential slip,
- wherein the actual differential slip indicates a difference in a rotational behavior of the first axle relative to the second axle, and
- wherein the device is configured such that, for at least a portion of a domain of the actual vehicle deceleration or the target vehicle deceleration, the target differential slip is inversely dependent on a magnitude of the detected actual vehicle deceleration and/or a magnitude of the detected target vehicle deceleration, such that as the magnitude of the detected actual vehicle deceleration and/or the magnitude of the detected target vehicle deceleration increases, the target differential slip decreases.
