Abstract
A method of treating a hyperoxia induced disease or disorder associated with GSNO deficiency in a subject in need thereof includes administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of GSNO or a GSNO promoting agent.
Claims3
A method of treating bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in a subject, the method comprising:
- administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a pyrrole inhibitor of GSNO reductase, wherein the subject is a prematurely born neonatal human subject exposed to supplemental oxygen treatment, and wherein the pyrrole inhibitor of GSNO reductase comprising a compound having the formula:
- and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
