Abstract
A microcapsule composition is provided, which contains a polyurea or polyurethane microcapsule, an alkylnaphthalenesulfonate formaldehyde condensate, and polyvinylpyrrolidone. Also disclosed is a process of preparing the microcapsule composition and a consumer product having such a microcapsule composition.
Claims15
A microcapsule composition comprising
- a polyurea microcapsule,
- an alkylnaphthalenesulfonate formaldehyde condensate, and
- polyvinylpyrrolidone,
- wherein
- the microcapsule has a microcapsule core containing an active material and a microcapsule wall formed of a polyurea,
- the microcapsule wall encapsulates the microcapsule core,
- the polyurea is a reaction product of a polyfunctional isocyanate and a polyfunctional amine in the presence of an alkylnaphthalenesulfonate formaldehyde condensate and polyvinylpyrrolidone,
- each of the alkylnaphthalenesulfonate formaldehyde condensate and polyvinylpyrrolidone constitutes 0.1% to 5% by weight of the microcapsule composition, and
- the weight ratio between the alkylnaphthalenesulfonate formaldehyde condensate and polyvinylpyrrolidone is 10:1 to 1:10.
