## Abstract

Systems and methods for providing privacy control for digital capture of a recording include identifying a person within a digital capture that is a recording of a person within an environment based on received information regarding the person. A disposition tag is associated with an identified person in the recording. The disposition tag references a privacy control action to take according to privacy constraints for the person. Coordinates in the recording where the privacy control action is to be applied are determined.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for providing privacy control for digital capture of a recording, said method comprising:
identifying a person within a digital capture that comprises a recording of a person based on received information regarding the person by performing a comparison between the received information and the recording of the person to predict an appearance of the person in the recording, said comparison generating a confidence level of the identification of the person;
associating a disposition tag with an identified person in the recording, wherein said disposition tag references a privacy control action to take according to privacy constraints for the person;
determining coordinates in the recording where the privacy control action is to be applied;
determining a degree to which the privacy control action is to be performed according to the confidence level; and
performing the privacy control action at the determined coordinates to the determined degree.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein identifying the person, associating the disposition tag with the identified person, and determining coordinates in the recording are performed at a modeling facility that is located remotely from a recording device that generated digital capture, further comprising sending the coordinates from the modeling facility to the recording device.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the information comprises data needed to predict an appearance of the person from multiple angles.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the comparison is a real-time comparison between the data needed to predict the appearance of the person in the recording.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, further comprising increasing a confidence level of the comparison through at least one action selected from a group consisting of: sampling, smoothing the tagged area, increasing the tagged area, decreasing the tagged area, analysis of digital positioning data, and analysis of calendar data.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, wherein the confidence level triggers a signal sent to a crowd-sourcing component.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the privacy constraint varies according to pre-determined disposition parameters.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the privacy constraint comprises a restriction selected from a group consisting of: no recording allowed, recording allowed but with payment, recording allowed at certain time of day, recording allowed with restrictions, and recording allowed only with credit.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the privacy control action is selected from a group consisting of: jamming, overlaying the image, encryption, introduction of noise, masking for partial transparency of information, and replacement of image.

### Claim 10

An information processing system for providing privacy control for digital capture of a recording, comprising:
a processor device; and
a memory operably coupled with the processor device, said memory comprising computer-executable instructions causing a computer to perform:
identifying a person with a digital capture that comprises a recording of a person within an environment based on received information regarding the person by performing a comparison between the received information and the recording of the person to predict an appearance of the person in the recording, said comparison generating a confidence level of the identification of the person;
associating a disposition tag with an identified person in the recording, wherein said disposition tag references a privacy control action to take according to privacy constraints for the person;
determining coordinates in the recording where the privacy control action is to be applied;
determining a degree to which the privacy control action is to be performed according to the confidence level; and
performing the privacy control action at the determined coordinates to the determined degree.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The information processing system of claim 10, wherein the recording is an audio recording.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The information processing system of claim 10, wherein the computer-executable instructions further cause the computer to perform: applying the privacy control action to the recording.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The information processing system of claim 12, wherein applying the privacy control action comprises applying a data overlay to at least a portion of the person in the recording.

### Claim 14 (depends on 10)

The information processing system of claim 10, wherein the privacy restriction comprises a restriction selected from a group consisting of: no recording allowed, recording allowed but with payment, recording allowed at certain time of day, recording allowed with restrictions, and recording allowed only with credit.

### Claim 15 (depends on 10)

The information processing system of claim 10, wherein the computer-executable instructions further cause a computer to perform: increasing a confidence level of the comparison through at least one action selected from a group consisting of: sampling, smoothing the tagged area, increasing the tagged area, decreasing the tagged area, analysis of digital positioning data, and analysis of calendar data.

### Claim 16

A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium with computer-executable instructions for providing privacy control for digital capture of a recording stored thereon, said computer-executable instructions comprising:
identifying a person within a digital capture that comprises a recording of a person based on received information regarding the person by performing a comparison between the received information and the recording of the person to predict an appearance of the person in the recording, said comparison generating a confidence level of the identification of the person;
associating a disposition tag with an identified person in the recording, wherein said disposition tag references a privacy control action to take according to privacy constraints for the person;
determining coordinates in the recording where the privacy control action is to be applied;
determining a degree to which the privacy control action is to be performed according to the confidence level; and
performing the privacy control action at the determined coordinates to the determined degree.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The computer program product of claim 16, wherein the privacy restriction comprises a restriction selected from a group consisting of: no recording allowed, recording allowed but with payment, recording allowed at certain time of day, recording allowed with restrictions, and recording allowed only with credit.

### Claim 18 (depends on 16)

The computer program product of claim 16, wherein the computer-executable instructions further cause a computer to perform: increasing a confidence level of the comparison through at least one action selected from a group consisting of: sampling, smoothing the tagged area, increasing the tagged area, decreasing the tagged area, analysis of digital positioning data, and analysis of calendar data.
