A computer readable medium comprising a non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one programmable processor, cause the at least one programmable processor to perform operations comprising:

• commanding a computer numerically controlled machine comprising a head capable of delivering electromagnetic energy to a part of a working area inside an interior space of the computer numerically controlled machine, the interior space being defined by a housing comprising an openable barrier that attenuates transmission of electromagnetic energy between the interior space and an exterior of the computer numerically controlled machine when the openable barrier is in a closed position, the working area comprising an entire area in the interior space of the computer numerically controlled machine in which the head moves about to deliver the electromagnetic energy, the computer numerically controlled machine comprising an interlock that prevents emission of the electromagnetic energy when detecting that the openable barrier is not in the closed position, the commanding resulting in the computer numerically controlled machine executing operations for causing the head to deliver the electromagnetic energy to effect a change in a material at least partially contained within the interior space;
• and
• generating an image including at least half of the working area, the generating occurring when the interlock is not preventing the emission of the electromagnetic energy.

A laser computer numerically controlled machine comprising:

• a camera configured to generate an image including at least half of a working area of the laser computer numerically controlled machine, the working area comprising an entire area in an interior space of the computer numerically controlled machine in which the head moves about to deliver an electromagnetic energy, the interior space being defined by a housing of the laser computer numerically controlled machine;
• a sensor that is integrated into the laser computer numerically controlled machine;
• and
• a controller configured to trigger, based on a signal received from the sensor, the camera, the signal reflecting occurrence of an event other than a command by a user of the computer numerically controlled machine to capture the image including at least half of the working area of the laser computer numerically controlled machine.
