An adaptive magnetic resonance (MR) local coil includes at least one conductor structure. The at least one conductor structure is electrically conductive. The at least one conductor structure is at least partially ductile and/or pliable.

A local coil comprising:
- at least one conductor structure comprising one or more rigid sections and one or more flexible sections,
- wherein the at least one conductor structure is electrically conductive,
- wherein the at least one conductor structure is at least partially ductile, pliable, or ductile and pliable, and
- wherein the one or more flexible sections of the at least one electrically conductive conductor structure comprise at least one coil spring.

- a local coil comprising:
- at least one conductor structure comprising one or more rigid sections and one or more flexible sections,
- wherein the at least one conductor structure is electrically conductive, wherein the at least one conductor structure is at least partially ductile, pliable, or ductile and pliable, and
- wherein the one or more flexible sections of the at least one electrically conductive conductor structure comprise at least one coil spring.
