Abstract
A process for producing a polymerizable composition for an optical material of the present invention includes a step of mixing (A) at least one kind of thiol compound having at least two mercapto groups, (B) a tin compound represented by general formula (1), and (C) at least one kind of isocyanate compound having at least two isocyanato groups, in which the polymerizable composition for an optical material obtained in the above step has a haze value of 0.05 or less. (R4)c—Sn—X4-c (1)

- a step of mixing (A) at least one kind of thiol compound having at least two mercapto groups, (B) a tin compound represented by general formula (1), and (C) at least one kind of isocyanate compound having at least two isocyanato groups, to obtain a polymerizable composition for an optical material having a haze value of 0.05 or less,
- (R4)c—Sn—X4-c (1)
- wherein, in general formula (1), R4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, X represents a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, or —O—C(═O)—R5, R5 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 11 carbon atoms, and c represents an integer of 1 to 3, and
- wherein the isocyanate compound (C) is at least one kind of alicyclic isocyanate, aliphatic isocyanate and heterocyclic isocyanate.
