Remote rechargeable monitoring system and method

A battery charging system comprising:

• a processor in communication with a network device;
• a battery charger comprising a communication device, wherein the communication device is in communication with the processor via the network device;
• a battery pack comprising:
• one or more battery cells;
• one or more sensors, including a first sensor for sensing a parameter of at least one of the one or more battery cells;
• and
• a battery monitor in communication with the one or more sensors and the communication device of the battery charger, the battery monitor includes a memory for storing an indication of the sensed parameter, wherein the battery monitor is configured to receive the sensed parameter from the one or more sensors during operation of the battery pack,
• wherein the battery monitor is configured to send an indication of the sensed parameter to the processor via the communication device of the battery charger and the network device, and
• wherein the indication operates as a trigger event to cause the processor to perform two or more of determining the condition of the battery pack, providing warnings and/or alerts to an operator or user, analyzing the operational history of the battery pack, determining need for maintenance of the battery pack, estimating or predicting the life of the battery pack, evaluating the value of the battery pack, determining and valuing a warranty for the battery pack, and analyzing warranty claims for the battery pack.
