Abstract
Compositions and methods for the treatment of skin disorders or disease are provided.
Claims26
A method of treating, inhibiting, and/or preventing a skin disease or disorder in a subject in need thereof, said method comprising topically administering at least one nanoparticle to the skin of the subject,
- wherein said nanoparticle comprises at least one biodegradable polymer and at least one antioxidant enzyme.
A method of treating, inhibiting, and/or preventing a skin disease or disorder in a subject in need thereof, said method consisting of topically administering nanoparticles to the skin of the subject,
- wherein said nanoparticles consist of poly(lactide-co-glycolide), an antioxidant enzyme, and, optionally, a plasticizer, an emulsifier, or a plasticizer and an emulsifier.
A topical composition comprising 1) a carrier acceptable for topical delivery, 2) nanoparticles comprising at least one biodegradable polymer and catalase, and 3) nanoparticles comprising at least one biodegradable polymer and superoxide dismutase.
