Abstract
A cardiac rhythm management system includes a first implantable device such as a defibrillator and a second implantable device such as a leadless cardiac pacemaker. A programmer is configured to receive and display heart data emanating from the implantable defibrillator and from the leadless cardiac pacemaker. The heart data emanating from the leadless cardiac pacemaker is displayed in temporal alignment with the heart data emanating from the implantable defibrillator.
Claims20
A cardiac rhythm management system comprising:
- an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator configured to sense cardiac activity of a patient's heart and provide shocking therapy if appropriate, the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator configured to generate an electrocardiogram using the sensed cardiac activity;
- a leadless cardiac pacemaker configured to sense the cardiac activity of the patient's heart and provide pacing therapy if appropriate, the leadless cardiac pacemaker further configured to generate a plurality of cardiac markers using the sensed cardiac activity including markers for intrinsic events and markers for paced events, and to transmit the plurality of cardiac markers to the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator;
- the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator further configured to:
- receive the plurality of cardiac markers from the leadless cardiac pacemaker;
- and
- transmit the electrocardiogram generated by the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator and the plurality of cardiac markers received from the leadless cardiac pacemaker to a non-implanted device;
- and
- the non-implanted device configured to receive the electrocardiogram and the plurality of cardiac markers from the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, and to display the electrocardiogram and the plurality of cardiac markers in temporal alignment so that the plurality of cardiac markers generated by the leadless cardiac pacemaker may be used to help verify one or more features of the electrocardiogram generated by the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.
A cardiac rhythm management system comprising:
- an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator configured to sense cardiac activity of a patient's heart and to generate an electrocardiogram and one or more first cardiac markers using the cardiac activity sensed by the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator;
- a leadless cardiac pacemaker device configured to sense the cardiac activity of the patient's heart, generate one or more second cardiac markers using the sensed cardiac activity sensed by the leadless cardiac pacemaker, and transmit the one or more second cardiac markers to the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator;
- the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator device further configured to:
- receive the one or more second cardiac markers from the leadless cardiac pacemaker device;
- and
- transmit the electrocardiogram, the first one or more cardiac markers and the second one or more cardiac markers to a non-implanted device;
- and
- the non-implanted device configured to receive and to display the electrocardiogram and at least one of the one or more first cardiac markers and the one or more second cardiac markers in temporal alignment so that the one or more first cardiac markers and/or the one or more second cardiac markers may be used to help verify one or more features of the electrocardiogram generated by the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.
A cardiac rhythm management system comprising:
- a first implantable device configured to sense cardiac activity of a patient's heart and to generate a first representation of cardiac events using the sensed cardiac activity, the first representation including one or more first cardiac markers generated by the first implantable device;
- a second implantable device configured to sense the cardiac activity of the patient's heart, generate a second representation of cardiac events using the sensed cardiac activity, the second representation including one or more second cardiac markers generated by the second implantable device, and transmit the second representation of cardiac events to the first implantable device;
- the first implantable device further configured to:
- receive the second representation of cardiac events including one or more second cardiac markers from the second implantable device;
- and
- transmit the first representation of cardiac events including one or more first cardiac markers and the second representation of cardiac events including one or more second cardiac markers to a non-implanted device;
- and
- the non-implanted device configured to receive and to display the first representation of cardiac events including one or more first cardiac markers and the second representation of cardiac events including one or more second cardiac markers in temporal alignment with each other.
